Tactile Interrogator vs Mac Finder
details:
Notice how much more information is available, at a glance, in Interrogator. By relying on menus instead of icons for commands, Interrogator saves screen realestate.

On the left is Tactile interrogator. On the right is the Macintosh OS X Finder.

Suggested Caption:
Tactile Interrogator highlights recent changes in yellow, even if the change is several directory levels deep inside. Interrogator highlights recently changed files

details:
Yellow means the file was just recently changed. Green is like yesterday, and blue is like a year ago. The purple that you see is a few years old.

Yellow in a directory means that some enclosed file was recently changed. Here we see the /etc/cups directory (inside /etc) is yellow because of the recent change in one file, /etc/cups/certs/0, two directories below (far left).

You can get a better idea of the power of Interrogator by looking at the Quick Tour. Most of those pictures are animated, however - not so good for print publication. (They would be fine for online publication, however, depending on your editorial policies.)
